For the 4th consecutive year, our Food and Wine Festival went beautifully and the weather was really in our favor. For those who have not attended in the past, the Food and Wine Festival is a chance for Walden Chefs to make their signature dishes and pair them with a wine, beer, or spirit of their choice. Here at Walden, all of our meals are made fresh, and from scratch, to ensure quality in each dish we serve.
Some favorites of the day included Darrin Mcginty’s Lamb Stew over Green Garlic & New Potato Mash paired with a 2015 Frey “biodynamic” Zinfandel. The wine was such a hit that every last bottle was served to our guests! Everyone in attendance raved over Holly & Heather Supanich’s Rhubarb Pies which were perfectly paired with a Lavender-Lemon Wine Punch. An ideal combination for a warm, spring afternoon. Let’s not forget Chef Pete’s Wood Fired Pizzas, always a favorite with our Walden Membership.
Everyone enjoyed the day with family and friends, live music, and freshly prepared food and impeccable wines. Thank you to all the members and guests who made this a memorable weekend.
