The first of the 2017 series of our Farm to Table event was a huge success! It was a casual gathering that gave food lovers first-hand experiences of the quality in the diverse locally grown, produced, and prepared foods.
The harvest tasting featured local farmers, growers, and roasters. Eight of our local partners joined us to showcase their products while our very own Chef Pete created small plates using a variety items from each.
Everyone in attendance raved about the food! A few of the favorite dishes included the pickled deviled eggs from Harvest Bell Farms and the pickled vegetables from a range of farms including Thaxton Garlic Farm and Trapp Family Farm. Another big hit was the delicious tomato, goat cheese and basil dish from Morningside Farms and Mackenzie Creamery. The coffee pudding and ice cream made from Rising Star Coffee in Cleveland satisfied our sweet tooth!
