A team of more than 20 independent doctors have come together with a shared vision: creating a specialty hospital for doctors who want to focus on showcasing their skills, believe and promote a patient-centered culture and are interested in a “beautiful place where they can add value and improve our quality,” said John Liv, CEO of Premier Physicians. The yet-to-be-named hospital in Beachwood, OH will be open in late 2018 or early 2019.

The project, slated to cost somewhere between $50 million to $60 million is being designed and built in collaboration with luxury Aurora inn and spa Walden. The hospital is currently under construction on the corner of Richmond Road and Chagrin Boulevard.

The new specialty Cleveland hospital will offer orthopedics, urology, general surgery and gastrointestinal procedures. This group of doctors are moving in a direction opposite to that of the current trend, in which the Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals have been acquiring numerous independent practices.
